Dispute Template Letter – General


NOTE: Use this letter to dispute inaccurate information on your credit report(s).  Remember:  Only send this letter to the bureau(s) that are reporting the derogatory information.  If you send this letter to one of the three bureaus that is NOT reporting the information, you take the risk of having the derogatory information added to that bureau report.  Send proof of current address, proof of social security number, and send all correspondence via certified mail.)

I understand that per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you are required to notify me of your investigation results within 30 days.  My contact information is provided below and I have included proof of my social security and current address to avoid any delays in your response time.
